In the year 1900, Willem van Engelen and Peter Evers start together a ribbon mill in Heeze, it’s the time of the industrial revolution. By constantly searching for new technologies and innovative strategies, the company still stands out, keeping to operate it’s main activities from the village of Heeze (The Netherlands).
One of our unique abilities is the amount of detail that can be woven in a jacquard of a little label or ribbon of a few square cm’s, thanks to the experience of 118 years of jacquard weaving on the highest level.
In 2013 the decision was made to develop new machines that would make it possible to use these detailed techniques on a full-width size, opening ways to weave fabrics for fashion and interior.
We work with fashion designers like Walter Van Beirendonck, Viktor & Rolf, Rushemy Botter, Ximon Lee, Bruno Pieters etc..
We created interior fabrics with for example Moooi, Joost&Kiki, Hella Jongerius (Jongeriuslab), Mae Engelgeer, Scholten&Baijings and wall coverings with Claudy Jongstra, Sigrid Calon, Museum Ons’ Lieve Heer op Solder, Scheltens&Abbenes, Woonbedrijf amongst others.
A creative director was appointed to act as a translator between the client and the factory to realise all the ideas and wishes of the clients until the finest detail to beautiful jacquard woven fabrics .. together
